Dr. Phil Yoon, DPT, comes to your home, club or gym to treat the aches that come with golf and to build a body that can make the swing you want, round after round.
Golf is a rotation sport played hundreds of times a round. When one part of your body can't do its share, another part pays for it. These are the usual suspects.
No waiting room, no aides, no juggling three patients at once. Every session is a full hour with Phil, at your home, your office, your gym, or your club where it allows visiting providers.
That time is what lets us look properly at how your hips, back and shoulders handle the swing, rather than handing you a sheet of generic stretches. Arizona is a direct access state, so you don't need a referral to start.
How it works
01
Assess
One-on-one for the whole session. We talk through your golf, your history and your goals, then test how your body moves through the swing.
02
Treat
Hands-on care to settle what is irritated, and a clear explanation of why it hurts and what makes it better.
03
Train
A short, golf-specific program you can actually stick to, progressed visit by visit until you are playing the way you want.
Meet your physical therapist
A physical therapist who understands the demands of the swing
Dr. Phil Yoon (DPT, CSCS, Cert. DN, Cert. VRS) is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He built Boundless around one idea: an hour of one-on-one care, with no aides and no double-booking, so there is time to do things properly.
For golfers, that means time to look properly at how your body handles the swing, treat what hurts, and build the mobility and strength that keeps you playing.
Do I need a referral to see a physical therapist for a golf injury?
No. Arizona is a direct access state, so you can see a licensed physical therapist without a referral or prescription from your doctor.
Where do sessions take place?
Phil comes to you: your home, your office, your gym, or your club where it allows visiting providers. Everything needed for the session comes with him.
Do you take insurance?
Boundless is an out-of-network provider. You pay a transparent rate agreed before treatment, and we can give you a superbill on request to submit to your insurance company. HSA, FSA and HRA funds can generally be used for qualifying physical therapy; golf fitness and performance sessions usually do not qualify, so check with your plan.
I'm on Medicare. Can I still work with you?
Medicare has strict rules about physical therapy, so we cannot provide medically necessary physical therapy to Medicare beneficiaries. We can still work with you on services that are not medically necessary, such as golf fitness, strength and conditioning, and performance training. Call us and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Will you change my golf swing?
No, that is your teaching pro's job. We make sure your body can do what the swing needs, and we are happy to talk with your pro so you are both working on the same thing.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem and how your body responds. Every session is a full hour one-on-one, and you will get an honest estimate at your first visit, reviewed as you progress.
